Paderborn is a hub for numerous pilgrimage routes. A section of the Way of St. James passes through the city, and there is a network of other pilgrimage routes leading to the approximately 50 pilgrimage sites in the Archdiocese of Paderborn. The largely flat, expansive landscape invites people of all ages to hike and walk, attracting more and more visitors every year.
The Paderborn brewery appreciates this facet of its homeland and has dedicated a special beer to these hardworking hikers: Pilger Landbier is a naturally cloudy beer that tastes especially good after a long hike. And because this classic is so popular, the team has come up with two additional versions: Pilger Alkoholfrei can also be enjoyed while running, and Pilger Ur-Radler is particularly thirst-quenching and refreshing.
The original Radler is made from 50% finest Pilger Landbier and 50% sparkling lemonade. It combines the tart spiciness and mild balance of Landbier with the fresh fruit kick of a good lemonade – the best choice when it’s nice and warm outside, when you’ve just returned from a workout or a long walk over hill and dale, and when you’re struck by an acute thirst for beer! The Radler is crystal clear, golden yellow, and adorned with a surprisingly beautiful, airy head.
