Bodo is a fantastic mythical creature: the stately horned billy goat wears a majestic mustache twisted up in magnificent curls and is the product of a forbidden liaison. Like Romeo and Juliet, brewers and winemakers have met in secret nightly rendezvous, giving the world a mystical creature that impressively combines the best qualities of its parents.
If you are now about to sneak through hop gardens and vineyards at night in search of Bodo, we have good news for you: We were able to capture some shy specimens and tame them for you.
Bodo and his wild story were penned by Kraftpaule. The Stuttgart team has teamed up with the Wilhelm Kern wine family to marry beer and wine into a legendary hybrid. The Riesling used comes from the Kesselliebe wine series, which is dedicated to noble grapes from the Stuttgart city area. Numerous sun-drenched slopes in the basin offer optimal conditions for viticulture, including the Stuttgarter Zuckerle. Among other things, the finest Riesling grapes grow here, resulting in a wine with a lively character and exquisite notes of lemon, grapefruit and exotic fruits. The collaboration partners crossed exactly this wine with a light Bock.
The unusual result brings 7.7% alcohol content and an incomparably fruity and elegant bock into the glass.
