The Silver Series from Pühaste is a series of very special beers. Each bottle is closed with sealing wax and adorned with a shimmering silver label. Behind the noble look is an even more noble beer: All representatives of the Silver Series were stored in barrels after the brewing process was completed. Handpicked barrels that previously housed fine whiskeys, wines and rum were used for storage. The schnapps-soaked wood gives the beer exquisite notes as it matures and deepens the complexity of the taste. In addition, the alcohol content rises and turns barrel aged beers into soul-flattering delicacies.
Epiphania is an imperial stout matured in a cognac barrel, which contains a whole truckload of roast-intensive malts as well as exotic vanilla pods. The two hops, Magnum and Northern Brewer, are juxtaposed with six different types of malt, and the result is accordingly malty.
Pühastes BA Imperial Stout presents itself in the color of black coffee in the glass and has a milk foam-like crown on the opaque dark. The hazelnut-brown splendor smells of freshly ground coffee beans, fine vanilla and expensive cognac. In terms of taste, the beer follows its first impression and scores with a voluminous body and a deep and complex variety of aromas. Strong notes of cognac and vanilla dominate the taste, full-bodied roasted aromas, a little liquorice and a dark fruitiness complete the beer enjoyment.
