Their homeland is the best inspiration for the brewers at Maltese brewery Lord Chambray. They let themselves be inspired by the life energy of their compatriots, by the rich culture and the picturesque landscape and they channel this joy in their beers.
The English IPA San Blas is based on an enchanting beach on the island of Gozo and a Maltese bay also served as a source of inspiration for Blue Lagoon. The Witbier, brewed according to the Belgian model, contains the classic ingredients of orange peel and coriander and brings a fine flavor and a tasty 5.1% alcohol content to the table. The beer specialty flows into the glass in a sunny straw gold and is crowned with a small amount of snow-white foam. A tempting scent of freshly picked coriander rises from the beer, clouded by strong yeast, which combines with orange blossom and juicy citrus notes to form an irresistible mixture. The initial sip follows this olfactory impression one-to-one: coriander, orange and yeast form a holy trinity which, paired with fine acidity, sparkling carbon dioxide and a soft mouthfeel, results in a successful play of aromas. Oat flakes are responsible for the smooth texture, which also gives the beer stature.
Thanks to its fruity sweetness and strong spiciness, the light beer goes wonderfully with light, Mediterranean cuisine and is particularly refreshing on hot days.
