In fairy tales and folklore, the mother-in-law is always the troublemaker: she clashes with her daughter-in-law, sticks her nose into things that are none of her business, chimes in on every conversation, and generally knows everything better. In some stories, the problem goes even further, with the mother-in-law being nothing less than a fire-breathing dragon, causing strife and discord. Fortunately, in real life, things can be quite different, as David Hertl and his mother-in-law demonstrate. The brewmaster from Upper Franconia has struck gold with his wife's mother: Petra is every son-in-law's dream and gets along wonderfully with David. To crown their fabulous relationship, the brewmaster has created a special beer for her. This fine brew is called "Mother-in-Law's Revenge" and is a wonderfully refreshing wheat beer. The revenge lies in the alcohol content: this fine beer has a gentle 0.3% ABV, making it a non-alcoholic brew. This deficiency, however, does not detract from the taste. The velvety-smooth wheat beer is just as full-bodied, refreshing, and easy to drink as a conventional one, and has the advantage of allowing you to keep a clear head while enjoying it.
