The friendship between the legendary band Iron Maiden and the Robinsons brewery is a good thing that benefits not only those involved, but also us. The band and brewers not only drink and celebrate together, they also brew together and have been doing so for more than 10 years now. The fruitful connection has produced a whole series of fine brews, the latest in the series being the Trooper IPA. Bruce Dickinson himself and Robinsons head brewer Martyn Weeks have put their heads together and joined forces to create another masterpiece.
The result of their collaboration is a brew with an alcohol content of 6.0%, filled to the brim with hops. The beer flows into the glass in clear gold and is decorated with a small crown of airy ivory foam. The hops are noticeable in the scent and taste and flatter the senses with a potpourri of tropical fruit, resinous herbs and crisp bitterness. Sweetness, acidity and bitter undertones are perfectly balanced and form a drinkable whole that goes excellently with the music of Iron Maiden.
For fans of the cult band, the Iron Maiden Trooper IPA is an absolute must and everyone else should also enjoy the light and fluffy IPA!
