Emperor’s Brewery excels at brewing robust, malty, and intense Imperial Porters. These creations are transformed into true masterpieces when they undergo barrel aging after the brewing process. The barrel-aged version of Mindless Philosopher is a prime example. This beer matured for an impressive 20 months in barrels that previously held fine Barbados rum. This extended barrel aging imparts a deep, velvety intensity to the already complex Imperial Porter, elevating the aromas to a new level and introducing a warm, harmonious rum spice.

In the glass, Mindless Philosopher presents itself in an intense, almost black mahogany brown with a dense, hazelnut-brown head. The nose is immediately captivated by an enticing blend of blueberry cake, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and rum.
