There are countless Christmas traditions all over the world that we find beautiful. We love the Advent season, when you open a door on the Advent calendar every morning, we are fans of Christmas piñatas in Mexico, we put our shiny boots outside the door on December 5th so that Santa can fill them, we like to go to the sauna on Christmas morning like the Finns do, we pop British crackers and we like to drink Christmas beers around Christmas time. In Scandinavia, Christmas beer is called Jule Bryg and people look forward to these festive beer specialties all year round. Most breweries bring out one or more winter beer creations, including Albani from Denmark.
The brewery has a whole range of different Christmas brews, including the classic Jule Bryg. The festive beer has an impressive 7.0% alcohol content and enchants with its full-bodied character. Jule Bryg flows into the glass in a copper-red shimmering fawn color and forms a small veil of white foam. A bouquet of roasted malt, caramel and herbs rises to the nose and awakens thirst for the first sip. The taste is made up of toasted grain, toffee, brown sugar and fruity hop notes. The caramel sweetness is skilfully cushioned by 26 bitter units.
No matter what traditions pepper your Advent season, (this) Christmas beer should definitely be part of it!
