Wanderlust is when you feel a tingling sensation in your toes. When you're actually sitting at your desk, but in your head you're climbing the rugged peaks of the Andes, plunging into the crystal-clear azure of a tropical island, or stalking the savannah in search of lions, giraffes, and antelopes. Wanderlust is the wanderlust in our hearts, the longing for adventure, and the magnetic attraction the world exerts on us. It entices us to spend the long weekend not at home, but on a mountain pasture, by a lake, or in a foreign city.
The team at Espiga Brewery knows this feeling all too well and has captured its essence in a fine little beer. Their quaffable interpretation of Wanderlust is a New England IPA dedicated to their hometown of Barcelona and all its wonders, great and small. The brew brings a brisk 6.5% ABV to the glass and combines its fruity aroma with a creamy texture and a harmonious 40 bitterness units.
Wanderlust presents itself in a densely clouded corn yellow and is adorned with a head of creamy white foam. The aroma and flavor are characterized by tropical notes and luscious citrus fruit. Refined palates can detect passion fruit, pineapple, and pink grapefruit. The brew is fresh and juicy, with a grippy mouthfeel and a beautifully full-bodied finish.
