The strong strong beer season runs from the beginning of the first cold days in autumn to early summer. Most bock beer tapping takes place at the beginning of November, but there are also variants for the Advent and Christmas seasons, for Lent and the dance into May. Franconia is a real bock beer stronghold. In autumn you can watch three different bucks being tapped every weekend and still miss half of it.
