A white Christmas is a dream we carry with us year after year through Advent, clinging to it until the very last moment. We dream of thick, white flakes dancing from the sky, of fir trees enveloped in a soft blanket of brilliant white, of crisp, crisp cold, snow crystals glittering in the pale winter sun, of afternoons on the sledding hill, roofs dusted with a festive layer of powdered sugar, and hikes through a winter wonderland with hot mulled wine in a thermos. Since snowfall isn’t guaranteed everywhere during Advent, the Jopen brewery is offering us a beer that at least brings a taste of a white Christmas to our homes.

Witte Kerst is a full-bodied Dubbel Witbier, brewed especially for Advent and the Christmas holidays. With a lively 7.5% alcohol content, this brew alone is enough to create a festive atmosphere around the Christmas tree – whether it’s green or white outside. An extra dose of malt and hops provides an exceptionally intense flavor that pairs wonderfully with Christmas goose, nut roast, and gingerbread.

Jopens Witte Kerst pours into the glass with an old-gold luster and is adorned with a touch of snow-white foam. Robust notes of gently roasted grains, ripe apples, orange peel, and winter spices dominate the aroma and flavor. Three different grains provide a creamy mouthfeel and body, while coriander seeds and grains of paradise add a clever finishing touch.
