The Polish brewery Moon Lark has made a name for itself not only with its expressive beers, but also with its distinctive design. Clean, sometimes minimalist shapes meet bold color palettes, geometric patterns, mysterious lunar landscapes, and a touch of science fiction aesthetics. Each label is a small work of art—modern, playful, and with a touch of cosmic mysticism.
Zigzag fits seamlessly into this concept: a pixelated, mottled gray sky, a black, cloud-covered full moon, and a rhythmic wave pattern in red and gray create an almost hypnotic depth. It’s a scene that magnetically draws our gaze and makes us eager for the beer behind it – intense, electrifying, promising.
Inside the can is Zigzag, a Hazy Double IPA flavored with various versions of Citra, Mosaic, and Sabro hops. In the glass, this hazy double IPA, cloudy inside and out, presents itself in a rich, cloudy gold with a rich, creamy head. The aroma is a tropical cyclone: juicy pineapple, sweet mango, ripe peaches, and a squeeze of lime. These are joined by subtle notes of soft oats that add complexity to the bouquet. Zigzag enchants the palate with full-bodied smoothness, juicy fruit sweetness, exotic coconut notes, and a distinctive yet harmonious hop bitterness. A warm, fruity note lingers on the finish. So good!
