Bruce Dickinson, the world-famous singer of the metal band Iron Maiden, has been working with Robinsons Brewery for years and has his own beer. The brew, called Trooper, has been brewed to the musician's exact specifications for more than a decade and is now available in numerous versions. Brand new in 2025 is the Iron Maiden Trooper Original, a drinkable ale that combines soft malt with tangy citrus fruit. Two types of grain provide a stable body and bread and caramel in the taste, while the Bobek, Cascade and Goldings hops provide fruity notes and a finely balanced bitterness.
The darling of the metal scene flows into the glass in a shimmering copper-red chestnut brown and is crowned with a cap of firm, dense foam. A nose of roasted malt invites you to take a sip. The aromas consist of full-bodied malt, creamy toffee, crispy bread crust and fresh citrus peel.
