Damn, You’re… Majestic!
This is not a compliment that we freely throw around here, but rather the name of the latest creation from Totenhopfen. The Luxembourg brewery has created a truly flavorful Double Dry-Hopped New England IPA that has us singing its praises with bursts of fruit, creamy texture and a dry finish.
The aromatic giant presents itself in a densely cloudy grain gold in the glass and carries a delicate veil of white foam on the opaque body. The hop varieties Callista, Citra, Columbus and Mosaic used for cold hopping conjure up an olfactory bouquet of orange, pine, grapefruit, peach and green umbels, which continues one-to-one in the taste. A sweet fruit basket of tropical fruits and citrus notes meets freshly mown grass and floral hops on the tongue. 35 bitter units give contrast to the aromatic play, while the whopping 7.6% alcohol content is hidden between the diverse flavor facets and only contributes a pleasant warmth that spreads in your stomach from the first sip. The finish is dry and fruity and leaves you thirsty for more.
We don’t treat our compliments lightly, but Damn, You’re... Majestic! certainly lives up to its name and is indeed a majestic brewing piece!
